Born, raised and still reside in Hillsboro with my wife and our dog. After high school I played 2 years of baseball at Clackamas Community College, during that time I helped with youth clinics where I fell in love with coaching. I got my foot in the door as the freshman coach at Liberty HS where I spent 5 years, 3 of which as the varsity assistant. After Liberty I coached at Moundtime for 3 years coaching mostly the 11/12 year old teams before helping with the beginning of the 8 and 9 year old training program. Most recently I coached the Jr Fed team for Lincoln in 2018.

Many people don't realize the costs associated with providing affordable organized baseball and softball to kids in the Portland area. We partner with Portland Parks & Rec. (PPR), however, we still have to budget for ~$50,000 per year to maintain 10 school fields and 8 PPR fields.
